Acwa is seeking a CT Solar Field Engineer to execute maintenance and optimize performance of the Central Tower CSP field, including heliostats, tower, and MSR system. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and supervise field technicians to maximize uptime while ensuring safety and compliance across the plant.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering with 5–7 years in utility-scale power plants, ideally CSP.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on engineering experience in utility-scale power plants.
• Direct experience with Central Tower CSP or large-scale automated tracking installations is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Execute daily field operations, preventative maintenance, and rapid corrective responses across the 70,000 heliostat field.
• Provide technical direction to field technicians and contractors for efficient task completion across the plant footprint.
• Identify skill gaps and assist the Specialist in delivering safety and technical toolbox training.
• Perform routine calibration including optical alignment, tracking calibration, and kinematic error compensation.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain drive motors, gearboxes, control boards, and communication lines across field networks.
• Monitor SFINCS server and ensure high availability and rapid diagnostics.
• Update flux maps via MSR reflectivity data and maintain MSR thermal monitoring.
