Job summary

A leading oil and gas company is looking for a Cell Leader K-Winch to manage the assembly of K-winch products in a workshop setting. The ideal candidate will have a high school degree, along with at least 5 years of experience in diesel engine assembly and servicing. Candidates who are fluent in English and have a technical diploma in mechanical engineering are preferred. Responsibilities include supervising assembly tasks, ensuring quality adherence, and collaborating closely with other departments. A strong focus on safety and quality standards is essential.

Job Summary

Cell Leader K-Winch is responsible for the complete workshop assembly of all kinds of K-winch products(wireline/Slickline) to make them ready for delivery to the customer as per the technical, quality and lead time requirements specified in the Sales Order and work procedures. Keeping the projects up to date with respect to its target dates. Keeping the production manager up to date with project progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be familiar with the standard products of the company and conversant with the assembly drawings and bill of materials - using only approved versions.
  • Proficient use of all equipment, tools and techniques needed in the assembly & fabrication shops.
  • To allocate daily work to his team and supervise their work to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and as per the technical, quality, lead time requirements specified by the Sales Order.
  • To do hands on work as and when needed.
  • To ensure every job assigned is executed within the time frame provided.
  • Coordinating and/or conducting hydrostatic test, load/lifting tests, Zone2 tests and the FAT of completed parts in collaboration with the Quality Department– Only if authorized to do so and only at designated areas.
  • To notify his manager of any mistakes, omissions or alterations required other than what is specified in the drawings.
  • To inform Engineering Department about as-built changes of the projects.
  • To raise PO requisitions in Sage for winch assembly team’s consumable/raw materials/3rd party service requirements.
  • On a weekly basis, to book in the relevant WOs the manhours worked on ongoing work orders.
  • To raise NCRs in Q-Pulse and take necessary actions to close open NCRs that are related to assembly and fabrication.
  • To ensure correct disposal of all excess/scrap material, upkeep of company equipment in proper manner and report any loss or damage in time.
  • To be available for field service trips if required and for other activities requested by the management.
  • Ensure all his area of responsibilities are maintained and kept in line with 5S Principles.
  • Responsible for appropriate implementation and adherence to all applicable company policies, procedures and quality standards (including ISO 9001 and API Q1 and API 6A & 6D) by staff under supervision.
  • Report to the HSE Coordinator any hazardous incident and situations noticed as a safety concern.
  • To take necessary actions to correct/eliminate the HSE observations in winch assembly area reported by the HSE Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Coordinator the maintenance needs of the machines in his area of responsibility.
  • To plan and/or manage his team’s annual/daily/sick leave requirements.
  • To update Kronos for his direct reports before every month end.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential

  • High school degree
  • Min 5 years of experience in assembling and servicing of diesel engines
  • Experience in hydraulic tubing/plumbing
  • Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, engineering drawings
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written)

Desirable

  • Technical Diploma (Mechanical)
  • Familiar with NOV K-Winch products
