Job description

Vigilance: The CCTV Operators shall when operating the CCTV Room be held responsible for keeping vigilance over the CCTV monitors with the view to detect:

  • Human traffic entering or leaving the Hotel particularly criminal or undesirable elements.
  • Illicit movements of goods particularly those leaving the Hotels premises.
  • Misdemeanors committed by staff.
  • Any other activities of unusual nature.

Maintenance: Ensuring that the CCTV equipment is in good working condition when taking over duty. In the event of any:

  • Malfunction: Record in the Security log Book for follow-up action by the Supervisor or his Assistant. DO NOT attempt to meddle with any of the equipment.
  • Blank occurring on CCTV monitor screens: Indicatives of malfunction, thefts, or sabotage to the CCTV camera. In such an event, promptly alert and direct the nearest Security personnel to investigate and determine its cause.
  • Recording of details of incident and action taken in the Security log Book.
  • Taking prompt action through the walkie-talkie or phone to alert the Supervisor, Concierge, and Engineering Department if any of the lifts jammed as indicated on the Lift Supervisory Panel.
  • Informing the Field Officer of their meal relief roster as prepared by Supervisor in the Security log Book. Granting of any emergency relief requested by the Field Officer.
  • Redeployment of field officers as scheduled as per instructions from Security Manager or Security in Charge.
  • Granting of emergency relief to field officer.
  • Anti-Robbery Alarms: Act promptly through the walkie-talkie to alert and direct the Supervisor to the scene of activation of the Robbery activation and call the Security Manager.
  • Reported via phone or Radio. Reception Check-in counter to phone Security Room if in need.
  • Fire Exit Security Alarm: Monitoring and recording the time, date, and location of activated Fire Exit Security Alarm in the Security log Book for collation and setting a MouseTrap to apprehend the culprit.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in the same field.
  • Certification in CCTV either from DPS or PSBD.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
