Plant Monitoring & Control: Operate and oversee cement plant equipment (kiln, crushers, mills) from the Central Control Room. Adjust process parameters to ensure efficiency and stability.
Quality & Process Assurance: Maintain product quality by monitoring fineness and composition; optimize process conditions for consistent output.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to plant safety protocols. Promptly report and respond to safety incidents and hazards.
Troubleshooting & Emergency Response: Detect and resolve operational issues and equipment malfunctions. Implement emergency procedures during breakdowns.
Shift Handover & Reporting: Maintain detailed shift logs and ensure smooth handover. Generate daily production reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in plant optimization initiatives. Share feedback to improve processes and reduce costs.
Additional Duties
Shutdown Supervision: Oversee refractory and maintenance work during plant shutdowns, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.
Acting Shift Engineer: Manage full shift responsibilities during the absence of the shift engineer, including operations and coordination.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of cement manufacturing processes, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
Skilled in operating plant control systems, troubleshooting, and supervising teams.
Adaptable, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with sound decision-making abilities.
Qualifications
Minimum: High school diploma.
Preferred: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B Sc in a relevant field; technical certifications are a plus.
Experience
Required: 8–10 years in cement plant operations as a CCR Operator.
Preferred: Experience with CMMS, safety training, and process monitoring systems.
