Respond to inquiries and actively solicit new business with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Monthly Production Goals.
Uncover clients' implied needs and wishes, and create highly customized proposals accordingly.
Create and conduct memorable site inspection experiences, showcasing the resort and setting it apart from the competition to maximize business capture, through intuitive selling.
Manage, coordinate, and execute group assignments. Monitor guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage, and special concessions contractual agreements. Communicate necessary information to all departments to successfully execute the group's needs while maintaining a good client relationship.
Participate in weekly Sales Meeting, Operations Meeting, Banquet Event Order (BEO) Meeting, and any other required meetings relevant to the role.
Entertain event tastemakers on a regular basis.
Coordinate the sales efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication (written and personal contact) with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of events.
Keep the Director of Catering promptly and fully informed of all potential challenges or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
Supervise the execution of banquet events. Review all function space with the banquet manager and when required, the head house attendant. Ensure satisfaction of clients throughout and at the outset of all events.
Respond according to the crisis management plan to any resort emergency or safety situation.
Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and the planning committee.

What you bring:
College Education preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years previous catering sales experience in a luxury resort/hotel required.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
High level of creativity.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client-driven environment.
Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
