Job summary

A leading hotel chain is seeking a full-time driver to coordinate guest needs and deliver catering services. The successful candidate will maintain vehicle standards and assist with guest requests, ensuring safety and service excellence at all times. The role requires a valid UAE driving license and strong interpersonal skills for excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license is required.
• Experience in driving, especially for trucks or similar roles.
• Flexibility to carry out additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages to event locations using a catering vehicle.
• Assist with loading and unloading catering items, including heavy objects.
• Maintain the vehicle in good working condition and adhere to safety regulations.

Job description

• Co-ordinate guest needs within the hotel
• Keep the guests informed about the formalities any special conditions relating to their stay and the services available
• Driving the catering vehicleto deliver food beverages and equipment to event locations.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of the hotel and local services
• Enter in the logbook all trips made: departure time mileage time of return purpose of trip etc.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and company policies ensuring safe and responsible driving.
• Follow up on guest requests and ensure the guest is provided with all the assistance needed
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of catering items which may include heavy objects.
• Ensure the security of guests property during transfers
• Report any accident involving hotels car to the FOM
• Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag
• Ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained clean and in good working order including daily inspections and reporting any issues.
• Working with the catering team and other departments to ensure smooth delivery and setup.
• Read and understand the hotels Employee Handbook and adhere to the hotels rules and regulations in particular the policies and procedures relating to Fire Hygiene Health and Safety
• Comply with local legislation as required
• Be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required to meet business demands and guest service needs
• Attend training and meetings as and when required

Qualifications :

• Valid UAE driving license.
• Driving Experience is a must especially for truck driver or similar role particularly within the UAE.
• Good interpersonal skills guest oriented and service minded.
• Good listening skills and ability to anticipate.
• Good presentation and confident speaking skills.
