We are currently seeking a Category Specialist – 7 Months Contract Role for one of our well-known aviation clients, based in Dubai.

Job Purpose:

The Associate Specialist will support the execution of strategic and operational sourcing initiatives. They will assist the Category Manager across the strategic sourcing cycle, including gathering and collating supply market information, preparing RFP documents, and managing supplier clarifications. They will also co-lead tactical sourcing and spot buys with the Category Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Support Category L3 and L4 resources in executing category sourcing initiatives by compiling supply market information, preparing RFP documents, and managing supplier clarifications to ensure timely and efficient strategic sourcing.
2. Execute tactical sourcing and spot buys with minimal support from Category Managers for purchases of AED 5k and below, ensuring compliance with PR to PO cycle time, tactical sourcing processes, and delivery KPIs.
3. Recommend suppliers based on evaluations and negotiations for tactical purchases, and submit for approval according to delegation of authority.
4. Negotiate with suppliers and obtain approval for finalized contracts and purchase orders as per delegated authority.
5. Set up contracts and complex POs for strategic sourcing initiatives in Oracle, as required.
6. Release POs for operational sourcing and expedite delivery.
