About The Role

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will perform strategic sourcing activities within the Fresh Produce and Dairy categories and implement procurement strategies to deliver efficient, professional service to all stakeholders. This role requires independent and professional judgment and is performed under the general direction of the Sourcing Manager.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

1. Creating successful alliances with suppliers and building strong business relationships.
2. Ensuring suppliers' compliance with product quality, Health & Safety, legal, and other organizational guidelines.
3. Stakeholder management - identifying and influencing internal stakeholders to deliver quality results focused on strategic efficiency.
4. Category management - researching market trends, analyzing insights, and reviewing existing products and services to support long-term development strategies for your category.
5. Planning sourcing activities - vendor evaluation, negotiations, contract drafting, managing bidding activities, bid awards, and related administration. Ensuring contract close-out, extension, or renewal.

About You

We are looking for candidates with at least 4 years of experience in the food service industry, ideally in procurement, import, or wholesale operations. Experience working with local producers and knowledge of the UAE fresh produce market is mandatory. To succeed, you should be able to handle problems involving multiple variables and negotiate effectively by understanding the supplier's position. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels are essential.
