Job description

Want to be part of an ever-growing third-party sellers team in the UAE marketplace? We are seeking a Senior Category Merchant Manager (CMM) to shape the future of our third-party marketplace.

The CMM role offers a unique opportunity to own a substantial portion of a category P&L while driving large-scale, high-visibility projects across different Amazon teams. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with deep analytical skills, and should excel in ownership, bias for action, deep dives, inventing and simplifying, delivering results, and leadership competencies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for retail, high flexibility, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

The experience gained in this role will prepare a candidate to rotate into other roles within Amazon, supporting their path to future leadership positions. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Category strategy and ownership: Collaborate with Category Leadership and account managers on planning, business strategy, enhancing customer experience, and maximizing seller selection and sales growth through analysis and initiatives.
  2. Maintain category reviews: Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews using established tracking mechanisms; recommend actions to grow or recover the category.
  3. Identify growth opportunities: Spot trends, analyze data, and deploy deep dives to manage sellers toward growth plans.
  4. Seller management: Lead seller partnerships, manage large sellers, and improve seller experience through better self-service and reporting tools.
  5. Technical project management: Automate and scale category growth initiatives, partner with teams to drive automation and scalability.
  6. Manage projects/programs: Establish and execute marketplace projects at the third-party level.
