Want to be part of an ever-growing third-party sellers team in the UAE marketplace? We are seeking a Senior Category Merchant Manager (CMM) to shape the future of our 3rd party marketplace.

The CMM role offers the opportunity to own a sizable portion of a category P&L while driving large-scale, high-visibility projects across Amazon teams. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with deep analytical abilities, owning responsibilities, demonstrating bias for action, conducting deep dives, inventing and simplifying, and delivering results. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail, high flexibility, and excellent prioritization skills.

The experience gained in this role will prepare a candidate to rotate into other roles across Amazon, paving the way to future leadership positions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Category strategy and ownership: Collaborate with Category Leadership and account managers on planning and business strategy, enhance customer experience, and maximize seller selection and sales growth through analysis and initiatives.
  • Maintain category reviews: Conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews using tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and recommend actions for growth or recovery.
  • Identify growth opportunities: Spot trends, popular brands, and pricing strategies to guide sellers towards growth plans through detailed data analysis.
  • Seller management: Lead seller partnerships, manage large sellers, and improve overall seller experience with better self-service and reporting resources.
  • Technical project management: Automate and scale category growth initiatives, partner with teams to drive automation and scalability.
  • Project management: Establish and execute marketplace projects and programs at the 3P level.

Must be able to:

  • Own the business for assigned categories, understanding variables impacting the business, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting, and driving strategic projects.
  • Maximize Amazon's long-term profitability.
  • Understand customer needs and deliver features for an unparalleled shopping experience.
  • Create business plans and initiatives for new opportunities, and develop project plans for launching new features.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders to meet deadlines for high-visibility projects.
  • Conduct financial analyses to meet and exceed revenue targets.
