Amazon UAE is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hardworking, and creative Category Manager to join our Domestic Appliances business based in Dubai. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and owning the P&L and strategy for one of the large categories in Amazon UAE. This role involves driving category growth, managing profitability, and improving the customer experience. We seek a seasoned individual with strong analytical skills, excellent business judgment, vendor management and negotiation skills, curiosity, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience.

The candidate should be prepared to work on-ground and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors of all sizes, and demonstrate leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain data quality for the product catalog.
  • Build comprehensive brand destinations within Amazon.
  • Coordinate and create launch plans for new products, brands, or categories.
  • Manage site placements and promotions in coordination with relevant suppliers and the event calendar.
  • Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Instock and Marketing/Merchandising teams.
  • Provide reporting and success metrics for campaigns and merchandising activities.
  • Review sales and key metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and customer reach.
  • Manage inventory levels and supplier engagement.
  • Oversee inventory health, forecasting, and assortment planning.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to drive efficiencies.
  • Manage inbound shipments, fill rate, SKUs, operational issues, lead times, and quality deviations.
  • Be responsible for category KPIs.
  • Utilize Excel and manage large data sets to improve performance.

Qualifications include at least 3 years of Excel experience, 5 years in retail operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and results delivery. A Bachelor's degree or 3 years of professional/military experience is required. Experience with financial analysis, P&L ownership, vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development is essential.
