Job Summary

This role will focus on enhancing the product portfolio by identifying and sourcing power brands across various goods categories. Responsibilities include establishing strong relationships with consolidators for effective price negotiations, securing exclusive distribution rights in the UAE, and selecting reliable suppliers for consistent product availability and compliance with UAE regulations. The role also involves collaborating with category management and merchandising teams on product assortment, pricing, and promotions. Monitoring market trends, analyzing competitor activities, and managing the import process, including logistics and customs, are key aspects. Additionally, the position involves analyzing sales performance and adjusting sourcing strategies to improve profitability.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the entire import process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods from international suppliers.

Ensure all imports comply with customs regulations, tariffs, and industry standards, including handling necessary documentation such as import permits, licenses, and certificates.

Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring goods are available when needed without overstocking or stockouts.

Manage and track all costs associated with importing, such as shipping, duties, and taxes, to maintain profitability.

Address any issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or regulatory issues, ensuring that problems are resolved efficiently.

Assess and manage risks related to international trade, such as political instability, supply chain disruptions, or fluctuations in tariffs and exchange rates.

Identify areas for process improvements in the import process and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.

Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of import shipments, costs, and inventory to senior management.

Identify and source power brands across multiple goods categories to enhance the product portfolio.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with consolidators for effective price negotiations, optimizing cost efficiency.

Negotiate and secure exclusive distribution rights with key brand owners for the UAE market.

Evaluate and select reliable suppliers to ensure consistent product availability, quality standards, and compliance with UAE import regulations.

Collaborate with the category management and merchandising teams to align on product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging products to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Oversee the import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.

Analyze sales performance and adjust sourcing strategies to maximize profitability.
