Job Title : Buying / Category Manager - Food (Confectionery) & Beverage

Salary Budget : Upto AED 15000 + Bonus + Family status

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Buying Category Manager with a strong background in FMCG, particularly within the confectionery and drinks categories. The successful candidate will come from a Supermarket or CTN retail environment, with a deep understanding of local demographics and a strong supplier network in the region.

This role offers the opportunity to own and shape category strategy, drive performance, and deliver tangible growth across a key product area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement data-driven buying strategies for the confectionery and drinks categories in line with customer trends and business objectives.
  2. Lead negotiations with suppliers, leveraging FMCG expertise and existing regional contacts to secure favorable terms and exclusive deals.
  3. Analyse market data and consumer insights to optimize product ranges, pricing, and promotions.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key FMCG suppliers.
  5. Monitor and respond to competitor activity and evolving local demographic trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
  6. Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure seamless category execution in-store and online.
  7. Conduct regular range reviews and category performance analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  8. Ensure all sourcing complies with regulatory, health & safety, and company standards.
