What you'll do:
We at noon are looking for talented category specialists to be a key member of the Central Grocery Commercial Team, serving multiple platforms across the noon Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong bias for action and a keen work ethic to exceed our ambitious growth targets. As a category manager, you will:
- Support the development of the overall category roadmap and vision, taking responsibility for achieving revenue and gross margin targets across relevant categories and platforms.
- Define the optimal assortment, plan stock responsibly, drive pricing decisions for P&L efficiencies while maintaining competitiveness, source new brand partnerships, and execute product launches.
- Collaborate with vendors to source marketing investments and ensure campaigns are executed to high standards, working closely with the Ads team.
- Ensure customer experience is prioritized through a curated assortment, thoughtful in-app merchandising, and high-quality product content.
- Implement effective consumer journeys across channels by understanding the category and customer base deeply.
- Develop relationships with distributors and brands to identify gaps, increase consumer engagement through campaigns, and promote adoption of noon's tools.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, customer service, growth, legal) to improve the platform, utilizing data insights to prioritize tasks.
- Stay informed about regional competitors and global trends, reviewing critical information to innovate the product offering.
- Contribute to talent development by sharing knowledge and training junior team members to become future category leaders.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of successful sales and business development experience, preferably in e-commerce or offline retail with P&L management.
- A strong bias for action and resourcefulness, with the ability to meet ambitious targets in a competitive environment.
- Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and a solid understanding of data analytics.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects and delivering results.
