What you’ll do:

We at noon are looking for talented category specialists to be a significant member of the Central Grocery Commercial Team, serving multiple platforms across noon Group, with a strong bias for action and keen work ethic to exceed our already ambitious growth targets. As a category manager, you will:

  1. Support the development of the overall category roadmap and vision, and directly take responsibility for achieving revenue and gross margin targets for relevant categories across multiple platforms at noon.
  2. Define the optimal assortment, plan stock responsibly, drive pricing decisions for P&L efficiencies while maintaining competitiveness, sourcing new brand partnerships and executing product launches.
  3. Collaborate with vendors in your category to source marketing investments and ensure campaigns are executed to the highest standards, while working closely with the Ads team.
  4. Ensure customer experience is always at the forefront of all category decisions through a compelling assortment that is carefully curated to serve all relevant customer types, thoughtful in-app merchandising and best-in-class product content.
  5. Implement the perfect consumer journeys through our host of channels by combining a deep understanding of the category and our customer base.
  6. Develop long-standing relationships with distributors and brands to identify and address any gaps, increase consumer engagement through innovative campaigns, and drive adoption of noon’s full suite of in-app and out of app tools.
  7. Work seamlessly on cross-functional obligations (including, but not limited to, in-stock, operations, customer service, growth and legal teams) to continuously improve the platform and experience, utilizing data insights to identify priority tasks.
  8. Stay up-to-date with regional competitors and global business trends, reviewing critical information as it becomes available and innovating the product offering.
  9. Help develop the next wave of talent by sharing learnings and training junior team members to become future category leaders.
What you’ll need:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a similar field.
  2. You will have at least 5 years of successful sales & business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, or offline retail with P&L management.
  3. Strong bias for action & resourcefulness is paramount - we are growing at a rapid pace and you will be expected to meet ambitious targets within a highly competitive environment.
  4. Advanced comprehension of Excel/Google Sheets with a strong appreciation for data analytics is key.
  5. Experience working on cross-functional projects and delivering outstanding results in previous roles.
