JOB TITLE
Category Manager | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Procurement

ROLE SUMMARY
The Category Manager – Technology is responsible for executing strategic sourcing initiatives across all Majid Al Futtaim operating companies, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology roadmaps. The role drives cost optimization, innovation, and supplier performance within the technology category. It also acts as a leadership continuity point during the absence of the Category Lead, maintaining operational stability and strategic progress.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Lead the implementation of sourcing strategies in compliance with internal policies and business goals.
  • Manage procurement activities for new tech projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Oversee a procurement team, tracking workflow and providing guidance to remove blockers.
  • Build strong relationships with internal clients and serve as the liaison between business units and suppliers.
  • Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in close coordination with procurement services.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, onboarding, and performance tracking.
  • Report regularly on sourcing strategies, savings, risks, and procurement outcomes.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 7–9 years of experience in procurement or category management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in technology sourcing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with a professional procurement qualification (e.g., MCIPS).
  • Proven expertise in sourcing technology services, software, cloud platforms, and digital tools.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
