JOB TITLE
Category Manager | MAF Global Solutions | Procurement

ROLE SUMMARY

The Category Manager will be responsible for delivering and executing strategic sourcing and procurement processes across all operating countries and Majid Al Futtaim Operating Companies. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders and Category Leads to develop and implement category strategies that achieve organizational goals, driving sustainable value.

ROLE PROFILE
  1. Implement sourcing strategies for projects, ensuring compliance with legal, internal policies, and business objectives.
  2. Manage sourcing activities for new project development, meeting milestones and timelines.
  3. Lead the procurement team and represent them in weekly meetings with internal clients.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  5. Oversee team workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  6. Support the team in overcoming obstacles.
  7. Continuously oversee cost reduction initiatives based on technical and commercial insights.
  8. Achieve or surpass annual sourcing and savings targets for Majid Al Futtaim spend.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, complemented by a professional procurement qualification (e.g., MCIPS).
  2. 7-9 years of experience in procurement or category management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  3. Experience with technology and digital procurement, including HW, SW, tools, and solutions.
  4. Knowledge of supplier costing models, TCO analysis, and supplier evaluations.
  5. Experience with eSourcing tools such as eRFx and eAuctions.
  6. Familiarity with Coupa, SAP One ERP, Oracle, and eRFx platforms.
