Job Summary & Purpose :

To lead, monitor, and report on Category performance and make recommendations on product range, pricing, and in-store promotions to drive sales, market share, and total income.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities :

1. Work closely with DGM - Merchandising to monitor top and bottom line targets and sales plans, ensuring KPIs/targets are achieved on time and within budget.
2. Ensure category targets are met; explore and implement opportunities for improvements.
3. Plan and coordinate sales and income of events.
4. Monitor sales and income performance against targets and present findings to the Merchandising Manager & Category Managers.
5. Launch incentives across departments and reconcile with finance within defined timelines. Ensure timely closure of financial MIS.
6. Prepare weekly/daily/monthly MIS & other reports, including analysis and presentation as per timelines.
7. Perform data mining and diagnostics across the category, presenting reports to the Merchandising Manager. Coordinate with IT, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing to upgrade MIS & reporting systems.
8. Coordinate the launch of new initiatives and monitor their implementation through structured MIS, presenting findings to the Merchandising Manager/Category Managers.

Qualitative Requirements

Skills & Abilities

Expert working knowledge of Excel and good working knowledge of MS Office packages. Knowledge of accounting software packages, preferably ERP such as SAP.
