About the Operational Model

As our product is different from others, so is our business model. All our fresh products are made for the day they are shipped to retail stores. We have zero finished goods inventory, and hence no intermediary stockists or transitory warehouses. This is possible only with the help of an inhouse fleet of vehicles and distribution personnel. Currently a fleet of 500+ dedicated vehicles and crew touch 30,000 retailers daily and replenish 100,000+ Kgs units of the freshest produce.

Job Summary

ID Fresh Food is seeking a Category Lead – NPD to join the Innovation team with responsibility for managing category marketing and GTM for all the new launches in emerging International Markets. The position is responsible for product development in collaboration with R&D, GTM strategy; Campaign management and Media mix development and will work closely with sales team and creative team to achieve the demand generation goals for the respective launches. As a lead for all NPD launch, you will need to have a strong understanding of consumer and be responsible for delivering launch targets and key milestones. The role requires you to collaborate closely with internal and external leaders to develop unique marketing programs, research, and activation programs and effectively adapt them for respective market segments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for new product development following stage gate process and anchor launch with strong GTM strategy and marketing mix.
  2. Execute product launches and spearhead new product development in the category through a holistic understanding of the industry, competition, consumer preferences and by developing communication, pricing, consumer engagement and brand building strategies for the category.
  3. Identify & prepare business opportunities cases basis consumer behavior and emerging micro and macro trends.
  4. Responsible to deliver marketing ROI for campaigns and new launches.
  5. Collaborate closely with sales, creative, and media teams to build and implement effective media strategies and demand generation initiatives.
  6. Prepare project timelines and lead the project deliveries collaboratively ensuring all milestones are met by respective stakeholders.
  7. Develop accurate projects priorities, schedules, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  8. Develop and Execution of quarterly cycle plans, overseeing category-related projects such as product enhancements, packaging changes, marketing activations, pricing strategies, and budget management. Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration to achieve project milestones.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Qualifications:

  1. 5-8 years’ experience in FMCG with 1-2 years’ prior experience in Sales is preferred.
  2. Experience driving the collection of market intelligence; setting market research goals in collaboration; Identifying and tracking trends in core market segments to develop and launch new products.
  3. A proven track record of creating and executing successful marketing plans that are creative, engaging, testable, and highly analytical, especially for new product launches.
  4. Demonstrated experience in GTM strategy development, managing international projects with multiple stakeholders and show proven expertise in measuring campaign/ launch ROI and drive results.
  5. Demonstrated analytical skills in quantitative and qualitative consumer research methodology and outputs, able to actively participate with research team both internally and externally to develop concepts, packaging designs, communication, and media mix for various consumer touchpoints.
  6. Strong data driven marketing skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep into customer data and translate findings into actionable customer insights and powerful marketing programs.
  7. Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations to persuade senior leaders and stakeholders.
  8. Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
