Job summary

You will handle cash, assist customers, and maintain a smooth checkout experience. Responsibilities include receiving payments, tallying transactions, counting cash at shift start and end, issuing receipts, answering product inquiries, bagging items, and keeping the checkout area clean.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in retail cashier or customer service role.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment such as card readers.
• Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments from customers
• Process cash or credit transactions accurately
• Count money in the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
• Issue receipts and change when required
• Answer any inquiries customers may have regarding products or services
• Bag items properly for customers
• Ensure that all transactions are accurate and efficiently completed
