Job Summary:

The Cashier will be responsible for processing payments, itemizing and totaling customer purchases at Autoplus.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACTIVITIES

  • Customer Service: Greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment.
  • Payments: Receive payments via cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Invoices: Prepare and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  • Counting Till: Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and sufficient change.
  • Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Pricing: Establish or identify prices of goods and services, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
  • Customer Complaints: Resolve customer complaints, provide guidance, and offer relevant information.
  • Policies & Procedures: Maintain checkout operations by adhering to policies and reporting needed changes.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required by the Accounts Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of cashier or front-desk experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, billing software, and MS Office.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and professional demeanor.
