Responsibilities
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions at the POS terminal.
  • Provide a friendly and courteous interaction with all customers at the register.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and counter space.
  • Ensure accurate processing of incoming and outgoing sales transactions and receipts.
  • Offer assistance and guidance with inquiries or product information where necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of end-of-day financial reconciliations.
  • Adhere to all company protocols and legal regulations regarding cash handling procedures.
  • Process product exchanges, returns, and refund requests as per company policy.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current promotions and communicate these to customers.
  • Assist in inventory management by recording all sales transactions accurately.
  • Report discrepancies, security issues, or theft to management promptly.
  • Help restock merchandise and arrange items neatly in the store when needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education certification is required.
  • Previous experience in a cashier or customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills for accurate transaction handling.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities are essential.
