Overview
Cashiers will create invoices for visitors' food and drink purchases. They are in charge of processing payments, managing exchange, and managing the cash drawers, therefore they have a significant impact on guest pleasure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the sales sheet according to the shift.
- Make sure the card machine is in functioning order and that they have adequate change to prevent waiting when settling the bills.
- Keep all bill copies in a drawer in series to assist sales sheet.
- Always make sure you have enough CCMs and printer rollers.
- The cashier should be knowledgeable about the tips division and make accurate system entries.
- The cashier should operate quickly to make the bill ready and provide efficient and effective service to the guest without missing any change.
- Double-check the order before it goes to a customer's table.
- Makes ensuring that the supervisors' or manager's daily checklists are followed.
- Prints sales reports, CCM reports, checks, and compares CCM total with sales reports as part of the proper and accurate closing processes for each shift.
- Ensure that the guidelines and SOPs defined by the management are well understood and fully complied with.
- Performing all other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Report suspicious activity to management.
- Actively participate in training programs.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the customers.
- Maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with all his superiors and peers at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in tally cash
- Must be familiar with monetary transactions such as giving and receiving change
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience within a similar commercial environment and fast-paced restaurant.
- Hands-on experience with cash flow control and tips management system
