Job Responsibilities:
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil or chalk.
• Cut or shape wood, plastic and other materials using hand tools such as saws, chisels and planes.
• Assemble cut and shaped parts to build structures such as furniture frames, doors or window frames.
• Install fixtures such as windows or door frames into buildings using hand tools such as drills or screwdrivers.
• Repair furniture or other wooden structures by replacing broken parts or refinishing surfaces.
• Construct wooden molds used in the casting of concrete structures such as bridges or buildings.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma preferred but not required; Completion of a formal carpentry apprenticeship program is highly desired.
• Proven experience in carpentry work is essential; Knowledge of the tools used in carpentry work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/diagrams; Excellent manual dexterity; Good physical fitness; Ability to lift heavy objects without assistance; Attention to detail; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Willingness to accept feedback from supervisors.
