An established industry player in hospitality seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. This role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting various systems including plumbing and electrical. POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment such as tools and radios. Identify, locate, and operate all shutoff valves for equipment and utility shutoffs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols. Display basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacements, and thorough cleanup of work areas. Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs and manage inventory related to housekeeping and engineering. Use the Lockout/Tagout system for maintenance. Repair landscaping and sprinkler systems. Demonstrate basic computer skills such as inputting air handler schedules and adjusting temperatures.
Follow all safety, security, and company policies. Report safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and store flammable materials properly. Maintain a professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and support individuals with disabilities. Develop positive relationships with colleagues, support teamwork, and communicate professionally. Lift objects up to 50 pounds independently and perform tasks involving stairs, ramps, ladders, and reaching. Use computers to access work-related information. Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
