Maintenance and Repair: Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including repairing and replacing doors, windows, furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and other wood structures.
Construction and Installation: Construct and install fixtures, fittings, and other wooden elements according to blueprints and specifications.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential carpentry issues, preventing costly repairs and ensuring the longevity of hotel assets.
Custom Projects: Fabricate custom woodwork for various hotel needs such as decorative elements, signage, and special event setups.
Finishing Work: Sand, stain, varnish, and paint wood surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members as well as other hotel departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
Material Management: Maintain accurate records of materials used and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Guest Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests related to carpentry.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Carpenter in a similar environment (hospitality experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
