Operations Executive (Sea Cargo and Air Cargo Operations) - Full job description

• Proficiency in handling freight inquiries, quotations, and coordination with local and international clients.
• Good experience in Dubai Trade, processing of import/export customs declarations, arranging transportation and delivery.
• Good knowledge of Dubai customs procedures and Jebel Ali port-related operations.
• Ensure the packaging and documents for the shipments are correct.
• Open a job for a new shipment and add details to the manifest.
• Manage the ad-hoc bookings before executing the AWB.
• Documentation for Air freight and Sea Freight.
• Dock booking for delivery at the airport.
• Track the shipment till its arrival at the Destination / Consignee.
• Prepare documents for Dubai Trade submission.
• File for claim online as and when the Exit-Entry documents are stamped.
• Updating Trackers - Turnover Report, Daily Activity Monitoring, Daily Active File, Microsoft Team.

Skills and Abilities:

• Analyze, create, and manage logistics plans.
• Generate and process all necessary documents related to shipment for import/export.
• Bill Of Entry (BOE).
• Handle multiple sea and air shipments end to end at the same time.
• Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, exceeding customer service expectations.
• Acceptance of goods and maintaining goods transfer from the store to the warehouse and to the airline.
• In the Warehouse, the unloaded Cargo should be checked and tallied with the Transfer Sheet by the Warehouse Supervisor and entered into the system.
• Ability to handle both LCL and FCL shipments and hazardous materials.
• Submit shipping instructions timely and accurately.
• Arranging Customs clearance – BOE - and documentation.
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customers for customs purposes.
• Understand all shipping inco-terms of freight shipments.
• Coordinates all warehousing and logistics activities with the logistics team to meet customers' project deadlines and targets.
• Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight to customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
• Provides support to the sales team for customer development and maintenance.
• Applies knowledge of Freight Forwarding and freight structure and operations to resolve problems, make decisions, and achieve business objectives.
• Track and trace shipments and provide customers with daily or weekly tracking reports as required. Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.

Experience requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Logistics Administrator, or a similar role with experience in Sea and Air Cargo Operations.
• Good understanding and experience in air freight documentation, systems, countries' regulations, airline operations, and airport operations.
• Experience in air freight and sea freight consolidations.
• Proven implementation and continuous improvement results with operations.
• Good command of spoken & written English.
• Good PC skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Communication skills and self-development.
