We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Freighter Planning & Permits Officer to join our Freighter Network Planning team. This role combines the technical and regulatory aspects of freighter scheduling with global slot coordination and permit management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient aircraft utilization while securing all necessary operational approvals to support both core and ACMI-operated flights.
In this role, you will;
- Develop and manage freighter schedules, ensuring optimal fleet rotation, turnaround times, and utilization
- Plan short-term and ad-hoc flights, including charters and capacity additions based on commercial input
- Track aircraft performance and monitor operational feasibility in coordination with flight ops, engineering, and ground handling
- Integrate wet lease (ACMI) aircraft into the network and ensure alignment with operational timelines and capabilities
- Support the planning of maintenance downtime, C-checks, and regulatory availability
- Submit seasonal and ad-hoc slot requests to global coordinators and monitor slot confirmations
- Apply for and follow up on overflight and landing permits across global jurisdictions
- Maintain compliance with IATA WSG guidelines, airport rules, and bilateral traffic rights
- Liaise with airport slot coordinators, civil aviation authorities, embassies, and ground handlers to obtain required clearances
- Ensure proper documentation and timely approvals for all aircraft types, including ACMI operators

Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below;
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years in Logistics, Cargo, or Air Cargo Operations
- Strong knowledge of IATA regulations, rules, and procedures
- Completed approved courses in Cargo Acceptance and Handling (including Special Cargo Handling and Acceptance)
- Knowledge of Cargo Product, Advanced Load Control, and Freighter Load Control
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Strong analytical abilities
