Job description

Job Purpose

Responsibilities
  1. Deploy: Plans staff and prepares rosters to ensure appropriate resources are in place to accommodate the workload, training, and leave requirements, ensuring optimum resource utilization.
  2. Lead: Organizes and supervises the work of a small team to ensure efficiency and compliance with procedures. Regularly updates staff on system changes such as new destinations, tariffs, fuel surcharges, embargoes, and restrictions.
  3. Execute: Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies. Provides support and direction for safety, implements departmental policies, and monitors day-to-day operations. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement. Builds and maintains customer relationships, analyzes market and product issues, reviews rates, updates systems accurately, and ensures timely responses to customer inquiries and complaints. Conducts weekly meetings with the support team to address issues and maintain quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Logistics/Cargo, specifically Air Cargo
  • High School diploma (12 years of schooling)
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Air Cargo Operations
  • Proficient knowledge of IATA rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Knowledge of import and export rules and regulations
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Proficient IT and computer literacy skills
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, professional writing, and safety awareness skills
