Responsibilities

Main Duties

• Support students' personal, academic, and career development, including guidance on university choices and skills for future success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing tailored support to meet their goals.
• Assist students with university applications and career planning.
• Participate in school duties and extracurricular activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

Specific Duties: Career Counselling

• Implement guidance programs aligned with school policy.
• Guide students on career aspirations and portfolio planning.
• Help students identify suitable post-secondary options and support application submissions.
• Engage with parents and establish relationships with post-secondary institutions.
• Provide administrative support for applications and recommendations.
• Organize guidance events and maintain a calendar of key dates.
• Support gifted students and those with additional learning needs.
• Foster alumni relationships and track their pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (QFE 7) in any subject, with CPD requirements met, or equivalent experience as a teacher/educator.
