Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging tests, echo‑cardiograms, and non‑imaging cardiovascular evaluations, including exercise tolerance tests, stress tests, Holter monitoring, event recorders, 24‑hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and electrocardiograms.
• Assist in performing transesophageal echocardiography.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, address concerns, and follow established pre‑screening policy and procedure.
• Determine appropriate methodology and techniques, arrange immobilization or support devices, and select the appropriate imaging device.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, and assist them at completion.
• Use good judgment to determine if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnosis.
• Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
• Prepare facilities according to procedural requirements, calibrate equipment as required, and monitor patient condition during the procedure.
• Report patient status changes or emergencies to clinical staff, supervisor, or cardiologist.
• Recognize abnormal rhythms and immediately notify the physician or appropriate clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, including computerized records.
• Perform general office duties, maintain stock supplies, assist administrators in determining purchase quantities, and record procedure codes for billing.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment, document errors or malfunctions, and escalated issues to engineer, supervisor, or cardiologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Technology.
• Completed a 6‑month internship in Cathlab Technology.
• Current license in your country of origin with a DOH license to practice in the U.A.E.
• Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiology Technician, Interventional/Special Procedure Technologist, or equivalent.
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Arabic language advantageously desirable but not essential.
• Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
