Job summary

NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Cardiac Technology Technician to perform imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations, including stress tests and transesophageal echocardiography support. You will prepare patients, monitor during procedures, and provide data to physicians for interpretation.

Ideal candidates hold a Cardiac Technology degree, UAE MOH/DHA license, and 2 years of related experience, with strong English skills and willingness to work in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic language advantageous.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Technology.
• 6 months Internship in Cathlab Technology.
• Current license to practice in UAE (MOH/DHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging tests (echo and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations) and basic stress testing.
• Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures and position for prescribed procedures.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and report changes to clinical staff.
• Provide data and images to physicians for diagnostic interpretation.
• Handle general office duties and maintain patient documentation.

Job Description

1. Perform Imaging Tests (EchoCardiograms) and Non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations which may include Exercise tolerance tests (Stress test), Holter monitoring, Event recorders, 24 hr Ambulatory BP Monitoring, Electrocardiograms at Technical level and Assisting in Performing Transesophageal echocardiography.
2. Obtains patient history, explains procedures to patient, addresses patients’ concerns, and follows established pre-screening policy and procedure.
3. Determines appropriate methodology and techniques to use; arranges immobilization and/or support devices for proper patient positioning; selects appropriate imaging device.
4. Prepares patient for echocardiography procedures, positions patient as appropriate for prescribed procedure, and assists patients at completion of procedure.
5. Uses good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses
6. Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
7. Prepares facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required.
8. Monitors the patient’s physical condition during the course of the procedure; report patient change of status or emergency situations to clinical staff, supervisor and/or cardiologist.
9. Recognize abnormal rhythms and immediately notify Physician or appropriate clinical staff.
10. Maintain accurate patient documentation, including computerized documentation
11. Performs general office duties: maintains stock supplies, assists administrators in determining quantities for purchase, records procedure codes for billing purposes, and scheduling patients.
12. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
13. Troubleshoot equipment and document errors or equipment malfunctions; escal ...? to engineer, supervisor, and/or cardiologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Technology
• 6 months of Internship in Cathlab Technology
• Current license in country of origin with MOH/DHA license to practice in U.A.E.
• Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiology Tech, Interventional/Special Procedure Technologist (or equivalent)
• Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but Not Essential
• Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
