Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) seeks an experienced anesthesiologist to apply medical knowledge in planning and delivering anesthesia care. The role focuses on preoperative evaluation, tailored anesthesia plans, and intraoperative management in a high-volume surgical environment.

The physician will ensure safe postoperative recovery, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and maintain DOH licensing with ongoing CME commitments for Abu Dhabi privileges.

Qualifications

• MD/MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree with accredited residency in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Cardiac Anesthesia per DOH PQR 2025.
• DOH licensing and CME requirements to maintain Abu Dhabi privileges.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative evaluation, stratify risk, and counsel patients before consent.
• Develop tailored anesthesia care plans including regional techniques and monitoring.
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and assist care for critically ill patients.
• Provide empathetic, culturally appropriate patient care.
• Oversee postoperative recovery and safe handoffs to recovery units.
• Collaborate with CCAD teams and participate in multidisciplinary care.
• Offer anesthesia and pain management consultations for high-risk cases.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current with techniques and medications.
• Adhere to CCAD policies on documentation, billing, and KPIs.
• Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
