Job summary

SEHA in Abu Dhabi seeks a Specialist Physician to deliver high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care under the supervision of a Consultant. The post holder will exemplify clinical excellence and contribute to supervision and training of junior medical staff.

The role includes ensuring medical coverage, supporting performance management, leading ward rounds, documenting clinical information, coordinating with other services, and participating in on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Tier 1: No additional experience required post board certification.
• Tier 2: Not less than 2 years clinical experience post qualification in internationally accredited institute.
• UAE nationals: No additional experience required post board certification.
• For UAE Nationals + Non UAE Nationals enrolled in HAAD accredited residency programs: No experience required post board certification.
• Tier 3: Not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute.

Responsibilities

• Supports and adheres to all hospital departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures.
• Supports and participates in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and productivity/review processes.
• Assists with Consultant staff in ensuring adequate medical coverage within the Division.
• Attends Divisional meetings as invited.
• Supports the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents.
• Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Consultant Staff.
