Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Cardiac Surgeon to join our innovative cardiovascular team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex cardiac surgeries, providing comprehensive care for patients with heart conditions, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in surgical techniques but also has a strong passion for patient care and advancing cardiac health.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostic assessments of patients with cardiac diseases.
  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve surgery, and transplant surgeries.
  • Ensure meticulous preoperative planning and postoperative management to maximize recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide integrated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, surgical procedures, and recovery processes.
  • Engage in research initiatives and continuous education to keep up with advancements in cardiac surgery.
  • Document all patient interactions and surgical procedures accurately.
Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completed residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Cardiac Surgery.
  • Board certification in Cardiac Surgery required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in performing cardiac surgeries.
  • Strong knowledge of current surgical techniques and technologies in cardiac care.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in an operating room setting.
  • A valid medical license to practice in the applicable state.
