Job summary

ICARDA UAE Programme Office is seeking a Capacity Development Officer to lead planning, coordination and delivery of training and capacity-building activities across the C4RPWC program. You will oversee ToT, extension learning, and digital learning packages, liaising with UAE partners and ICARDA teams to ensure quality and alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences, education, capacity development, international development or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in capacity development, training, or research-for-development programs.
• Experience designing and coordinating ToTs, workshops, e-learning, or similar activities.
• Experience translating technical knowledge into practical learning materials.
• Excellent English communication and coordination skills; Arabic is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Capacity Development Plan and annual training calendar across UAE, Egypt, Tunisia and other countries.
• Identify capacity gaps with partners and translate into learning interventions; liaise with ICARDA teams.
• Coordinate ToTs, technical training, Farmer Field Schools and e-learning modules; manage logistics and evaluation.
• Develop and deploy training materials, manuals, facilitator guides, and CPD modules; ensure documentation.
• Support regional knowledge exchange and monitor training effectiveness with MEL tools.
