  • Support implementation of campus policies, procedures and service standards; assist in managing campus stores and security matters.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management; identify issues and propose practical improvements.

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a Campus Operations Officer to support and coordinate the effective day‑to‑day operations of the university campus. The role is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, organized, and well‑maintained campus environment that supports the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will coordinate campus services, transportation, facilities, assets, security, vendors, and operational activities while ensuring compliance with university policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a higher diploma, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in campus operations, facilities, administration, or a related field, preferably within the UAE. The candidate should have strong organizational, coordination, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively under pressure. Strong record‑keeping and reporting skills are required, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred. The candidate should be able to coordinate effectively with students, faculty, staff, suppliers, contractors, and external service providers, with flexibility in working hours and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor daily campus operations to ensure the effective delivery of services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure the timely provision of transportation and other campus support services. Monitor university transportation services and maintain related reports, records, schedules, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular campus inspections and report maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or operational issues to the concerned departments.
  • Coordinate with facilities and maintenance teams to ensure that campus facilities, classrooms, offices, common areas, and other university spaces are maintained in accordance with university standards.
  • Coordinate with office assistants, drivers, maintenance personnel, and other operational staff to ensure assigned tasks are completed effectively and on time.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of campus operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of university assets, equipment, furniture, and other operational resources, including inventory, issuance, utilization, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Department regarding the purchase, delivery, and installation of furniture, equipment, supplies, and other operational requirements.
  • Assist in managing campus stores and ensure that inventory records are properly maintained and updated.
  • Coordinate with the Security Department regarding access control, visitor management, lost and found services, incident reporting, and other campus security matters.
  • Monitor access cards and related records and coordinate with the concerned departments regarding issuance, replacement, and deactivation.
  • Support the coordination of campus events, activities, and special operational requirements as needed.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external service providers to resolve operational issues and ensure timely follow‑up.
  • Ensure that operational activities comply with university policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Prepare regular operational reports and provide updates to the concerned supervisor regarding campus activities, issues, and service requirements.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions to improve campus services, efficiency, and the overall campus experience.
  • Support emergency and incident response procedures and coordinate with relevant departments when required.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.
