Job summary

The Food & Beverage Group in Dubai is seeking a skilled Cake Baker / Cake Decorator to produce, assemble, decorate, and finish a wide range of cakes for retail, restaurant, catering, and special orders.

The ideal candidate will have a solid bakery background with strong cake experience, attention to detail, and the ability to create attractive, high-quality cakes that meet brand standards. You will work with a bakery team to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to recipes and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a baker, cake decorator, pastry commis, demi chef, chef de partie, or similar role.
• Strong practical experience in cake baking, filling, icing, decorating, and finishing.
• Bakery background required, with ability to support wider bakery production when needed.
• Experience with celebration cakes, birthday cakes, individual cakes, cupcakes, tray cakes, and special occasion cakes.
• Experience in a bakery CPU, hotel bakery, pastry kitchen, premium café, cake shop, or central kitchen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce, fill, frost, and decorate cakes to a high standard.
• Decorate with buttercream, fondant, ganache, and fresh decorations for various occasions.
• Support bakery production including breads, pastries, and other baked goods as needed.
• Check appearance, taste, texture, weight, and freshness of products and ensure consistency.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and allergen control procedures and maintain a clean workstation.
• Assist with special orders and events, ensuring on-time delivery and accuracy.
