Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Product Manager – AI Governance (Data Layer & Intelligent Systems). The position is based in Cairo, Egypt, with up to 40% travel to Abu Dhabi/Dubai and some work-from-home flexibility. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep experience in data engineering, AI/ML systems, and technical product development to lead the creation of the data layer and intelligence features of a next-generation AI Governance Platform. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll be building the foundation for trusted, responsible, and scalable AI systems.
You will own the product roadmap, collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams, and drive the delivery of features related to data management, intelligent policy enforcement, model monitoring, training and agentic AI capabilities.
A strong foundation in machine learning, generative AI, and software engineering is critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the product strategy, design, and delivery of the core data layer underpinning an AI governance platform, focusing on scalability, security, and compliance.
• Translate regulatory, ethical, and operational AI requirements into product features, including:
• Model auditability, lineage, metadata tracking
• Data quality and provenance management
• Intelligent agents for policy automation and monitoring
• Model fine tunning and training experience, including infrastructure management (GPU, CPU based).
• Oversee development of agentic AI, generative AI tools, and ML-driven features that support governance use cases (e.g., explainability, drift detection, access controls).
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure timely, secure, and high-quality product delivery.
• Define and manage the product roadmap, feature prioritization, sprints, and releases.
• Supervise and mentor cross-functional teams; maintain velocity under high-pressure environmentswithout compromising quality.
• Conduct competitive analysis, engage with clients and stakeholders, and ensure product market fit.
• Contribute hands-on where needed – from writing technical specs to guiding design decisions or reviewing code.
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of launching complex technical platforms or enterprise software products.
• Strong background in data engineering, data architecture, or data science, with hands-on understanding of:
• Python, SQL, APIs, big data, distributed systems, MLOps pipelines.
• Cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) leveraging data and AI services.
• Experience working with or building AI/ML models, especially in generative AI and agent-based systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams, shipping critical product releases, and working in fast-paced startup or enterprise settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – able to align technical and non-technical teams on strategy.
• Strong grasp of AI governance, data ethics, responsible AI principles, and emerging tech compliance requirements.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI governance frameworks, model risk management, or AI/ML compliance tools.
• Familiarity with data privacy, security frameworks, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF).
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum, Agile SAFe) are a plus.
