Scope of Work:
To provide quality food presentation and service according to the hotel standard while maintaining good hygiene as per policy.
Job Responsibilities:- Maintaining proper food temperatures for all food products in the cafeteria.
- Ensures the full menu throughout the opening times of the canteen, reporting missing items to the Executive Chef and the HR Director.
- Set up the food and beverage as well as utensils getting ready to serve on time.
- To assist with special events i.e. Iftar, National Days, etc.
- Keeps the tables, chairs, floors, etc., clean at all times.
- Removes the garbage according to policy and procedures.
- Accepts responsibility for multiple tasks including live cooking as required.
- To ensure that all outside guests dining in the canteen have prior approval and submit a meal voucher.
- Actively participates in energy saving and recycling initiatives.
- Ensure that the appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform, and appearance are maintained at all times.
- Strictly adheres to the hotel’s Policy on Confidentiality and Ethics.
- Carry out any additional tasks and projects as requested by the Director of Human Resources or delegate.
Job Specification:
- General knowledge of the practices used in receiving and storing food in large quantities.
- General knowledge of cafeteria sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation, cleaning, and care of utensils, equipment, and work area.
- General knowledge in computer applications; ability to prepare reports.
- Must be organized and able to complete reports and documents in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid background in Food and Beverage.
- Certificate/Diploma or Industry-Based Certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity within 5-star hotels.
- Locally available in the UAE.
