Etihad Airways in the UAE invites UAE nationals to join the Cadet Technician Programme—a two-year, hands-on training track designed to lead to a Licensed Aircraft Technician. Participants will study and train across maintenance domains, gaining practical experience and exposure to diverse aircraft types.

The programme emphasizes safe work practices, compliance with GCAA regulations, and progression to a certified technician.

Qualifications

• UAE national status is required.
• Age 18–29 years old.
• High school certificate with 60% average in Maths/Physics/Science.
• Strong command of English.
• Completed or exempted from UAE National Service (males).
• Willing to work shifts, including nights.

Responsabilités

• Complete the GCAA approved training syllabus and programme requirements.
• Maintain an overall 75% pass rate of all module exams.
• Comply with performance requirements set by GCAA, training institute and the company.
• Complete on-the-job training within the assigned timeline post theory qualification.
• Diligently execute and complete the schedule of work (logbook).
• Attend and pass scheduled mandatory training in accordance with Etihad Airways policy.
• Pass the Technical staff competency assessments whenever assigned.
• Ensure all work is performed in conformance with processes and procedures and applicable GCAA regulations.

What to expect

We are offering a dynamic and rewarding two-year training and development programme, designed to launch your aviation career and prepare you for progression to become a Licensed Aircraft Technician. The combination of theoretical knowledge and on-the-job training will provide you with practical experience in the field and prepare you to take on responsibilities across all areas of aircraft maintenance, covering a range of aircraft types.

What you will achieve

• Enroll for a recognised Aviation Maintenance training programme and complet the GCAA-approved aircraft maintenance technician course.
• Gain practical on the job experience under supervision and gain the necessary 12 months of experience to qualify for the grant of GCAA license and Aircraft maintenance certification Authorisation.
• Obtain the CAT A license from GCAA
• Obtain the aircraft maintenance certification authorisation
• Graduate as licensed Aircraft Technician.

Accountabilities

• Completethe GCAA approvedtraining syllabus and Training programme requirements.
• Maintain an overall75% pass rate of all Modules Exams in the stipulated times.
• Comply withperformance requirementsset byGCAA, TrainingInstituteand the Company.
• Complete on-the-job training within assigned timeline post theory qualification.
• Diligently execute and complete Schedule of Work (logbook) with the tasks assigned.
• Successfully attend and pass scheduled mandatory trainingin accordance withEtihadAirways Policy.
• Participateandsuccessfully passtheTechnicalstaffcompetencyAssessmentswhenever assigned.
• Ensure that all work performed at Etihad and completed in accordance with its processes and procedures is done in a safe mannerin conformance with thecompany'sprocedures, andin compliance with the applicableGCAAregulations.
• Carry out work in compliance with company, health and safety and airport procedures and regulations.
• Keep yourselfupdated with the applicableregulationamendments, companyproceduresand the latest maintenancebest practices.
• Be responsibleof ownwork after having completed a task that has been performed in accordance with approved data as assigned by Certifying Staff.
