Description

The Draughtsman will be involved in working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks, and water distribution networks. Responsibilities include investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction monitoring.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

1. Developing and preparing drawings in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or related programs based on guidance from landscape architects.
2. Preparing detailed CAD drawings of proposed plans, facilities, and infrastructure for internal and external use.
3. Producing drawings for land development and landscape projects.
4. Coordinating design projects with urban designers, architects, landscape architects, engineers, and other CAD technicians.
5. Using customized tools and scripts to automate processes and enhance AutoCAD productivity, adhering to company standards.
6. Having experience with the latest versions of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
7. Possessing knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in Dubai, capable of tracking them from as-built records.
8. Collaborating effectively within a team and liaising with remote teams globally.
9. Assisting engineers with basic design calculations and conducting technical and feasibility studies.
10. Ensuring safety practices and adherence to company policies and quality procedures.
11. Performing other duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualifications with at least 10 years of drafting experience related to infrastructure works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MicroStation.
• Experience with DS, IRR, DEWA, and water recycling is advantageous.
