Job description

This growing crypto trading firm has seen steady growth over the last 4-5 years: not being adversely affected by the wild swings in crypto success due to their robust and sensible strategies.
Owing to promotion, they are now looking to hire a Senior C++ Software Engineer with experience in high-load/low-latency applications. Your main focus will be developing & optimizing trading systems, algorithms, market data & exchange connectivity, with a clear roadmap to lead the team (of 5 developers) in the future once you get up to speed with the codebase.
This role would be perfect for someone who has worked with low-latency systems where everything needs to run fast but still have a focus on reliability.
Ideally, you’ll be based in Dubai alongside the CTO, founders and traders, working with developers in Dubai and remotely around the central European timezone. Alternatively, they will also consider exceptional candidates in the EU/Middle East timezone who wish to work remotely (particularly if you would be open to moving to Dubai in the future).
Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum 8 years’ C++ development experience; preferably with 10+ years total in software development
Financial markets and/or high-frequency systems experience
Experience with high-load and low-latency applications.
Expertise in optimising low-latency applications and crunching micros/nanos.
Good understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
Sound network protocols knowledge (Websockets, FIX, Kafka advantageous)
Self-motivated, with the ability to independently lead tech initiatives and see projects through to completion

Desirable:

Experience in Kernel bypass/DPDK and/or in system level/network performance optimisations.

Benefits:

Competitive salaries + performance-based bonuses
Flexible hours and a healthy work-life balance
Work with the smartest people in one of the fastest-growing and most exciting industries
Corporate ‘workations’: get to know your colleagues in person on regular work retreats to cool places all over the world
