Job summary

Confidential Jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a seasoned Leather Goods Sourcing Manager to lead development and supplier networks for wallets, bags, belts and other accessories. You will coordinate development from concept to production, ensuring design, cost, quality and on-time delivery.

You will evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, manage costing, and travel for supplier visits as required, building strong relationships with manufacturers and delivering a competitive leather goods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, Sourcing or related field.
• 5+ years of leather goods sourcing, buying, merchandising or product development.
• Strong knowledge of leather products, wallets, bags, belts and small leather goods.
• Experience with premium or luxury fashion brands is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reliable manufacturers and suppliers for leather goods and accessories.
• Source and develop wallets, card holders, belts and other SLG products.
• Manage product development from initial concept and sampling through production and delivery.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, craftsmanship, capacity, costing, lead time and reliability.
• Coordinate sample development, modifications, approvals and final product specifications.
• Negotiate costs, MOQ, payment terms, lead times and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Ensure products meet required quality, design and finishing standards.
• Monitor production timelines and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct supplier and market research to identify new products, materials and sourcing opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Review product costing and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Maintain product specifications, costing sheets, samples and sourcing documentation.
• Support the Business Head in developing a commercially viable and competitive leather goods range.

The role will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing leather goods and small leather goods (SLG), including wallets, card holders, belts, bags, and other leather accessories. • Good understanding of leather quality, materials, hardware and finishing.
• Experience with premium, luxury or fashion brands will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple products, suppliers and timelines simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits, sourcing and production follow-ups when required.
