We are seeking an Admin Buyer Assistant to join our growing team and support the buying and merchandising operations behind our junior couture collections.

Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and trend-savvy Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise that aligns with our brand identity, customer preferences, and business goals. You'll work closely with suppliers, designers, and internal teams to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time, driving both creativity and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of brands, suppliers, and vendors.
  2. Market Research: Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and consumer preferences. Conduct market research to identify emerging brands and products that align with our target audience.
  3. Assortment & Budget Planning: Analyze and review sales to create a comprehensive assortment plan, ensuring that it aligns with our brand strategy, target demographics, and sales goals.
  4. Product Selection: Use your expertise to curate a selection of products that resonate with our customers and differentiate us from competitors.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track product performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize stock levels and maximize sales opportunities.
  6. Seasonal Planning: Plan for seasonal changes and promotional events to maximize sales and customer engagement, liaising with marketing and retail departments.
  7. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, product assortment, and market insights to present to senior management.
  8. Critical Path Management: Take a proactive role in identifying and managing the critical path for product procurement and delivery. This involves closely monitoring the various stages of the supply chain, from order placement with vendors to product arrival at our warehouses or stores.
  9. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Fashion Buyer specializing in branded goods, with a strong track record of successful vendor relationships and product selection.
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
