Job Summary:

We are looking for a strategic and trend-savvy Sr. Buyer to manage product selection, purchasing, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will ensure the right mix of products is available across our stores, aligned with brand identity, market demand, and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute seasonal buying plans aligned with brand strategy and customer preferences
  • Select, negotiate, and purchase merchandise from local and international suppliers
  • Monitor stock performance, sell-through rates, and adjust buying decisions accordingly
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with merchandising, planning, and retail teams to optimize assortment and availability
  • Attend buying trips, trade shows, and product previews as needed
  • Manage budgets, purchase orders, and inventory turnover
  • Ensure alignment with promotional calendars and product launches

Requirements:

  • 3 -5 years of buying or merchandising experience in retail (fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG preferred)
  • Strong commercial sense and understanding of customer behavior
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
  • Familiarity with retail systems and tools (ERP, Excel, BI tools, etc.)
  • Passion for trends, product, and brand positioning
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
