We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to lead our Women’s Wear category, ensuring it aligns with Splash’s vision, caters to our customers, and delivers commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Category Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive buying strategy for the Women’s Wear category.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to curate collections that cater to varied tastes and preferences.
  • Drive innovation and differentiation in product offerings to maintain market leadership.
  • Vendor and Partner Relations:
    • Build and nurture relationships with international and regional vendors, suppliers, and brand partners.
    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve optimal margins and cost efficiencies.
    • Ensure supplier adherence to quality standards and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Financial Planning and Performance:
    • Own and manage category budgets, including sales, gross margins, and stock targets.
    • Conduct periodic financial reviews to track category performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop promotional strategies to drive sales and profitability.
  • Product Development and Trend Analysis:
    • Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to develop private-label collections that resonate with our customers.
    • Stay ahead of global fashion trends and translate them into commercially viable collections.
    • Conduct seasonal range planning to ensure a well-balanced and trend-right assortment.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Plan and manage buying cycles to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Work closely with supply chain teams to streamline product delivery and minimize stockholding costs.
    • Monitor sell-through rates and implement corrective actions for underperforming lines.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of Assistant Buyers and Merchandisers to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the team.

    Key Qualifications and Skills:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Experience:
      • 8-12 years of experience in buying or merchandising, with a focus on Women’s Wear.
      • Proven expertise in managing large-scale categories in fast fashion or retail.
    • Skills:
