Job description

Job Purpose

  • To coordinate procurement activities to meet materials requests, in accordance with company policies and procedures

Principal Accountabilities

  • Identify procurement needs initiate, prepare and dispatch RFQ, Bid Analysis and purchase order as per the department policy and procedures
  • Negotiate with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options. The bid, award, and administer supply, services, and orders to suppliers
  • Follow up quotations, bids analysis with end-user and Order deliveries
  • Constantly monitor vendor performance and update it to purchasing supervisor for evaluation
  • Receive Procurement Requisitions, from stores via purchasing supervisor and verify
  • Update Procurement Department policies and procedure, service level agreements and comprehensive purchase agreements
  • Work with team members and vendors to ensure adherence to ordered specs, quality & timelines
  • Manage and develop vendor relationships and broaden network of existing group vendors to provide the internal customers with a wider range of product / service solutions
  • Assist to buy all supplies and equipment’s and maintain quality for same
  • Clarify end-user queries to ensure procurement order is placed for the right material/services
  • Negotiate fair pricing without compromising on quality of goods or services
  • Assist in cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods and services in routine activities
  • Perform other jobs as requested by the Manager from time to time
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports in line with narrative reports that meet the requirements
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Organization’s Health & Safety policies

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent/ CIPS Level 2 or 3
