Job summary

RIBCRAFT Boat Building LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement for RHIB and composite boat projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency and compliance with technical specs.

The role requires 5–6 years in marine procurement within GCC/UAE, strong supplier networks, RFQ management and international shipping knowledge to coordinate imports/exports and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of procurement/purchasing experience, GCC/UAE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of marine materials, equipment and supplier networks.
• Proven RFQ management, supplier evaluation, price negotiation and PO processing.
• Experience with international shipping, import/export procedures and customs.
• Able to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of all materials, equipment and services for boatbuilding projects.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate prices and issue POs.
• Identify and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning and Project teams for material availability.
• Monitor POs, supplier performance and delivery schedules to prevent delays.
• Coordinate international shipping, freight forwarding, and import documentation.
• Manage export logistics and documentation for completed vessels.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies.

About the Role

RIBCRAFT Boat Building LLC, Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services for RHIB and composite boat manufacturing projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency and compliance with technical and marine specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of all materials, equipment and services required for boatbuilding projects, ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing and compliance with technical specifications.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate supplier quotations, conduct commercial negotiations and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
• Identify, evaluate and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers of marine materials, equipment and components.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning and Project teams to ensure material availability in line with weekly production schedules and project requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance and delivery schedules to prevent production delays.
• Coordinate international shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance and import documentation for materials and equipment.
• Manage export logistics and documentation for completed vessels.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies and procurement optimisation.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–6 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within boatbuilding, shipyards or marine manufacturing in the GCC, particularly the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of marine materials, equipment, components and supplier networks in the UAE and international markets.
• Proven experience in RFQ management, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, purchase order processing and delivery follow-up.
• Practical knowledge of international shipping, import/export procedures and customs clearance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary production, planning and project teams in a deadline‑driven manufacturing environment.

Preferred Candidates

• Currently based in the UAE, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
• Established network of marine industry suppliers in the UAE and GCC.
