Job summary

World Butterfly Park in Abu Dhabi seeks an Educator to design and deliver engaging educational programs that explore butterfly biology, habitats, and conservation. The role requires a strong background in education or environmental science, excellent communication, and the ability to work outdoors and indoors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Science, or Biology (Masters preferred).
• Minimum of 23 years in environmental education or related field.
• Strong knowledge of butterfly biology, ecology, and conservation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive educational experiences.
• Experience with diverse audiences including children and adults.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Passion for conservation and environmental education.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement educational programs, workshops, and activities for diverse audiences.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that highlight butterfly biology, ecology, and conservation.
• Develop curriculum and educational materials aligned with current scientific knowledge.
• Conduct guided tours, presentations, and demonstrations for park visitors.
• Answer questions and provide information about butterflies, plants, and ecosystems.
• Create and maintain educational displays and exhibits.
• Develop partnerships with local schools and organizations.
• Organize and participate in outreach events to promote programs and conservation.
• Coordinate with volunteers and community groups to support educational activities.
• Promote awareness of butterfly conservation issues and habitat preservation.
• Develop and deliver programs that inspire visitors to take action.
• Collaborate with conservation staff to integrate current research into programming.
• Train and mentor staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Provide support to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on effectiveness of educational activities.
• Develop and update materials, lesson plans, and resources for various ages.
• Ensure materials are accessible, engaging, and standards-aligned.
• Incorporate feedback to improve curriculum.
• Assess impact through surveys and feedback.
• Prepare reports on attendance, outcomes, and visitor satisfaction.
• Use data to refine offerings.
